The petrol engine is a 2.7-litre unit capable of producing 163bhp and 245Nm of torque. While the diesel engine is a 2.8-litre unit capable of producing 201bhp and 420Nm of torque. Both engines come with manual and automatic gearbox options. Both the cars also come with 4-wheel drive options.

However, you can easily get discounts of up to Rs 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs on the Alturas G4, making it quite a good buy. You should buy the Alturas G4 over the Fortuner if you can give up the reliability of the Fortuner. The Alturas G4 is however a great package when compared to the Fortuner.
