New-generation Ford Endeavour spotted testing
Recently Ford wrapped its Indian operations to focus on its big car portfolio outside India. It launched the Ranger in the European markets. For a long-time, the Endeavour has followed up after the new Ranger. Continuing on that line, we have now spotted the new-generation Endeavour in testing. The Endeavour was a popular car in India and gave tough competition to the Toyota Fortuner. In today’s article, we will see the spotted New-generation Ford Endeavour.
What was spotted
This new Endeavour has been spotted testing in Thailand. The car is covered in heavy camouflage, but it is easy to figure out this is the Endeavour from the overall dimensions and front design. The spy shots confirm that the new Endeavour will take a lot of design cues from the new Ranger. Dimension-wise, the car seems to be bigger than the current generation. At the front, it gets C-shaped DRLs with headlamps and indicators in the frame. Then there is a strip running through the middle dividing the grille. Coming to the side profile, it is identical to the current generation. Some other changes include new alloy wheels.
Other expected changes
Ford is also expected to give the interiors a major revamp in the new-generation. It will get a big infotainment system and rectangular AC vents like the Ranger. Other expected interior features include a 10/12-inch infotainment system, electric parking brake, 360-degree camera and new-electric tailgate.
Significance in India
The Endeavour was quite a popular car in India. It gave tough competition to the Toyota Fortuner. Though Ford has wrapped up its production in India, it is not quitting the market completely. It will be bringing some of its global cars through the CBU route. The first of these will be the new-generation Endeavour. Though the car will be expensive, it will provide global levels of quality and comfort. Ford will do a global unveiling of the new-generation Endeavour in 2022, after which we can expect an India launch soon.
