New-generation Endeavour features confirmed via Ranger
Recently Ford wrapped up its Indian operations to focus on its big car portfolio outside India. The Ranger is very important for Ford in a lot of markets. Before its exit from the Indian market, it was speculated to launch the Ranger in the Indian market. It is currently developing a new generation of its Ranger pickup truck. Ford had been teasing the Ranger on its Ford Europe Youtube channel. Now Ford has unveiled the Ranger for the European markets. What has been revealed?
Ford has unveiled the new-generation Ranger for the the European markets. Ford is claiming that it has completely reimagined, redesigned and reengineered the Ranger to be more versatile than its predecessor. The revealed Ranger comes with a aggressive design language. Other exterior features include C-clamp headlights, new integrated grille, LED taillights and new wider stance. Ford has also used a lot of chrome to add the bling factor to the Ranger. In the interior it gets modern dashboard layout with a big infotainment system and rectangular AC vents. Interior features include, 10 & 12-inch infotainment system, electric parking brake, new electric tailgate and 360-degree camera. There are also six different types of terrain modes.
Significance in India
For a long time, the Endeavour has followed after the new Ranger. The Endeavour also takes a lot of design cues and features from the Ranger. It is important to note that Ford is going to bring the Endeavour through the CBU route in the Indian market. Considering the investment it will most likely bring the new generation of the Endeavour based on the Ranger. This new generation might come with Ford’s 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine. Also, Ford can bring the Ranger to India to compete with the upcoming Toyota Hilux.
Ford’s plans
Though Ford has wrapped up production in India. It wants to keep its presence in the Indian market through CBU units . There are reports that they are bringing in eight new models through the CBU route. The first of these will be the Endeavour expected to be launched in 2022. All these cars will be coming through the CBU route, making them a lot more expensive. But at least Ford is bringing its global lineup to India.
