Citroen is still finding its feet in the Indian market. It launched the C5 Aircross to build the image of the brand. Now it is looking to expand further into the market. The brand is working on the C3, which according to the brand will be a hatchback with SUV characteristics. The C3 will give the best of both worlds as it will offer great manoeuvrability and high ground clearance. Citroen has already done a small reveal of the C3, revealing a lot of information. Rs 5 lakh compact SUV Design
The C3 will get Citroen’s quirky design language. At the front, it gets a spilt headlamps setup integrating into the grille with the Citroen logo in the middle. The side profile gets a lot of curvy bits and cladding. At the rear, it gets squared of taillamps and a sculpted tailgate. Other exterior highlights include orange accents on bumpers, upright design and dual-tone bumpers. In the interiors it gets simple but functional layout. It get a coloured dashboard design and a three-spoke steering wheel from C5 Aircross.
Specifications
The Citroen C3 is based on the CMP modular platform. The C3 is 3980mm in length and has a boot space of 315-litre. Citroen hasn’t revealed the engine specifications, but we expect it to be powered by 1.2-litre turbo petrol. Transmission options will include manual and automatic gearboxes. Citroen will not be offering diesel engines on the C3.

Citroen will be loading the C3 with a lot of comfort features to take on the established players. Some of the confirmed features include a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Wireless charging.
Launch and pricing
As mentioned above, Citroen has already done a small reveal of the C3. So we can expect a proper launch in the Q1 of 2022 and deliveries to follow soon after. Citroen has done a lot of localisation on the C3, which will help it to price it competitively. The pricing of the C3 is expected to start from Rs 5 lakh.
