New-generation Mahindra Scorpio
Mahindra is updating all its existing SUVs and pushing them to be segment-leading products. The brand has been testing the new-generation Scorpio for quite some time now. The new-generation Scorpio will get an updated design, modern features and new powerful engines. Mahindra, similar to the XUV700, will try to take on multiple rivals at once with the all-new Scorpio.
New-generation Renault Duster
The Duster started the C-SUV segment in India. Renault has not given it a big update since its launch which has affected its sales. However we now expect Renault to give it a new-generation update looking at the sales of the Kiger. The new-generation Duster will be made promising via its updated design, modern-looking interiors and new features.
Update/facelift cars – New-generation Maruti S-Cross
The S-Cross competes against strong products like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, etc. in India. Recently the new-generation S-cross was unveiled in Europe. We expect Maruti to bring this new-generation to India in 2022. This new-generation will get an XL6 like design with big changes in the interiors and feature list. With the new S-Cross, Maruti might try to establish its strong position in C-SUV space as well.
New-generation Kia Carnival
The Carnival is Kia’s most premium offering in its lineup. Kia had introduced the older generation of Carnival to gauge the response. It has garnered decent response from customers in the country. The sedan market is set to heat up with the entry of soon-to-be-launched Skoda Slavia in India. To counter Slavia, Hyundai is working on the new-generation Verna. It was recently spotted testing in South Korea. The new-generation will be bigger than the current model. Other expected changes include new design and new features.
Hyundai Creta facelift
The Hyundai Creta is one of the best selling SUVs in the Indian market. It has sort of created its brand in India. Hyundai will be giving Creta a facelift to take on the competition. It will get a Tucson like front design with some added features. Hyundai might also add ADAS to take on the XUV700 and MG Astor.
Update/facelift cars- Kia Seltos facelift
The Seltos helped Kia establish itself in India. The Seltos still rakes in good sales for the brand. Kia might give it a facelift in 2022 to take on the competition. In its facelift, it might get some subtle design changes and added features like a panoramic sunroof and electronic parking brake. Like Hyundai, Kia might also bring ADAS on Seltos.
Tata Harrier facelift
The Harrier has been a successful product for Tata. It established itself as a strong product soon after its launch thanks to its uniqueness in the Tata stable. But the competition has heated since then with the entry of newer seven-seater cars. Tata will be giving the Harrier a facelift to keep it ready for the competition. We expect the SUV to come with subtle design changes and a slew of modern features.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift
Recently, spy shots of the Baleno facelift were leaked online. It is getting major changes in its facelift with an updated front and rear design. Other changes could be premium looking interiors. Maruti might also give it features like a bigger infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and rear AC vents to take on strong rivals like the Hyundai i20 and the Tata Altroz.
Hyundai Venue facelift
The Venue hasn’t been updated since its launch in 2019. Hyundai might give it a facelift in 2022 to compete with the rivals. We expect the car to come with subtle design changes as well as added features like ventilated seats, a bigger infotainment system and a new music system.
Update/facelift cars – Nissan kicks facelift
The Kicks is quite a competent product in the C-segment. But for some reason, it has not managed to garner good sales for Nissan. Nissan will be giving the Kicks a facelift to change its fortunes. The facelift will get a more upright design giving it a more SUV like look. Other changes will include a new instrument cluster, infotainment panel and new interiors.
