The sub-compact SUV segment is quite a popular segment in India. The Hyundai Venue is one of the best selling cars in this segment. But other competition cars are catching up with the Venue in the sales. Hyundai knows this and is working on a facelift for the Venue. We have obtained new spy shots of the Venue facelift. In today’s article, we will see the spotted Hyundai Venue facelift 2022.

What was spotted?

Hyundai is currently testing the facelift in its home market of South Korea. From the spy shots, it is easy to figure out this is the Venue under the camouflage. The spotted car is under heavy camouflage, but it reveals some new details. The biggest change seems to be the new tail lamps design. It now gets an inverted L-shaped design with a reflector stripe in the middle like the Creta. Hyundai seems to have also changed some body panels making the car look big. Other exterior changes include a new dual exhaust, new tailgate and new alloy wheels.

What else to expect

The earlier spy shots have confirmed that Venue will get a new grille. Hyundai might also change the headlamps on the facelift. In the interior, we expect a new dashboard layout and added features. It is expected to get new features like a bigger infotainment system, new music system, ventilated seats and a new heads up display.

As this is a facelift, we expect Hyundai to retain the same engine options. Currently, the Venue comes with three engine options; a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Hyundai might bring an automatic gearbox on the diesel engine. Venue misses out on the diesel automatic gearbox. Currently, only the Kia Sonet comes with a proper automatic in the diesel engine in this segment.
