Hyundai has been enjoying good momentum in the Indian market. It can do so due to its proactive decisions and constantly updating its product lineup. Hyundai’s most recent launch, the Alcazar, is also raking in good numbers. The Alcazar has a lot of things going for it due to its features and engines. But there are some things that Alcazar misses out on. In today’s article, we will discuss features Hyundai Alcazar misses on.
Powerful diesel engine
The Alcazar comes with petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel engine is a 1.5-litre diesel engine capable of producing 113bhp and 256Nm of torque. Though the diesel engine is adequately powered and gives good mileage, it is the smallest engine in this segment. All its competition cars like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and XUV700 offer 2.0-litre diesel engine which are more powerful. Hyundai should give it a bit more powerful engine to compete with the competition. Hyundai might not give it a big diesel as the cost of the car will also increase.
Spacious 3rd-row
Being a seven-seater, the Alcazar lacks good space in the last row. Hyundai has prioritized space in the 2nd row leading to less space in the third row. In its current state, the third-row is only feasible for children and short people. An adult can sit as space gets cramped. Considering the competition, Hyundai should look to give it more space in the 3rd-row with features in the Hyundai Alcazar.
Lack of configuration options
The Alcazar comes with different variants and powertrain combinations. So it comes as a surprise that a 7-seater diesel automatic is offered only in the base Prestige variant. For someone looking for a 7-seater with diesel automatic, he will have to miss out on features offered by mid and top-spec variants of the Alcazar. Hyundai should try to bring the diesel automatic 7-seater variant on the Platinum and Signature variants.
