Rs 10 lakh SUV to hurt Ertiga/XL6 sales
The MPV market is an important segment in India. As Indian people prefer a big car to accommodate entire families. This segment is dominated by Maruti with cars like the Ertiga and XL6. But Mahindra can dent Maruti sales in this segment with their Bolero Neo Plus. The Bolero Neo Plus is a nine-seater variant of the Bolero Neo. This variant of the Neo Plus can challenge the Ertiga/XL6. In today’s article, we will look at this Rs 10 lakh SUV.
Design
The Bolero Neo Plus will look similar to the Bolero Neo. It will get a Bolero like a grill with chrome inserts in between. The new headlights will be reminiscent of the original Bolero. The Side profile will have the extended look due to the extra seating capacity. It will get jumper seats in the last row. The car will look big and imposing due to its extended nature. The car will be sturdy and rugged like other Mahindra cars.
Rs 10 lakh SUV specifications
The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to be 4400mm long, 1835mm wide & 1812mm tall. It will be powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, the same engine that powers the Scorpio. It will have a lower tune but will be more than enough for the Neo Plus. It will only come with a manual gearbox. We expect this car to get MTT features like the Bolero Neo for bad roads and minor off-roading.
Rs 10 lakh SUV features
The Bolero Neo Plus will get a modern dashboard and features. It will come with features like a 7.0-inch infotainment system, keyless entry, power steering, steering-mounted controls, voice control and all-power windows. In terms of safety, it will get dual airbags and ABS as standard on all variants.
Pricing
The Bolero Neo plus is expected to be priced from Rs 10 lakh and go to Rs 12 lakh(Ex-showroom). It will have no direct competition in its segment but will compete with the MPV segment cars like Ertiga and XL6.
