Kia has had a great time in the Indian car market. Kia’s Seltos was the first car for Indian car buyers. Seltos helped Kia established itself as a strong brand in India. Kia followed this good momentum with another SUV, the Sonet. This compact SUV is known for its exterior looks and features. Sonet was launched in September last year. In a few weeks, Sonet will complete a year in the Indian market. We expect Kia to bring an Anniversary Edition of the Sonet similar to the Seltos Anniversary Edition it had launched earlier. In today’s article, we will be looking at these new Kia Sonet variants.
The Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition is expected to get contrasting exterior elements similar to what was brought for the Seltos. Unique front skid plate, diffuser, unique side skirts, coloured accents for the fog lamp housing and the rear bumper are expected. It is also expected to offer piano black-finished ORVMs, spoiler and roof. New all-black alloy wheels might also be made available.
New colour options
The Sonet Anniversary Edition might get a special colour combination similar to the Seltos Anniversary Edition. Like the orange accents on the Seltos, Sonet might also get that but with different colour options. It will also come with first-anniversary badging.
The Sonet will also get some new interior design elements. It is expected to get all-black leather seats, new coloured elements on the AC vents, steering wheels and the door pads. Other features like the electronic sunroof, front ventilated seats, multi-drive modes and paddle shifters will be retained from the normal Sonet.
Will Kia launch this anniversary variant?
The Sonet was launched on 18th September 2020. The brand has found great success with Sonet in the compact SUV segment. So, taking this point into consideration, it is most likely that the brand will celebrate its anniversary with a new special Kia Sonet variant.
