Design
The car was spied a while ago, so we already have a fair amount of information on its looks. The new-generation Celerio gets a completely new design from the outgoing model. It will come with a more rounded exterior design, similar to cars like Swift and Baleno. The bumpers are redesigned with new fog lamps. At the rear, it gets a new tail lamp design. The top-spec models will come with black alloy wheels. With all these changes and a rounded exterior design, the car will appeal to young buyers who are on the lookout for a funky-looking car. The cabin is also expected to come with a new look. A new dashboard layout and centre console are expected. This will surely give the cabin a new look.
Maruti Rs 5 lakh car specifications
Like all the new Maruti cars, the new-generation Celerio will be based on the Heartect platform. The dimensions are expected to remain similar to the current model. Engine options will include 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines. Gearbox options will include a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. A CNG variant is also expected with the Celerio.

Features have become an important selling point. We expect Maruti to load the new-generation Celerio with decent features. It will get a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, reverse parking camera, automatic climate control and smart start-stop will be some of the provided features. Pricing and launch
The new-generation Maruti Celerio is expected to launch somewhere in September. In terms of pricing, we expect the car to be priced from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 6.80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The new-generation Celerio will sit between the WagonR and Swift in the Maruti line-up.
