New-gen Maruti Vitara Brezza
Maruti Vitara Brezza has been a successful product for the brand. The product has been bringing continuous sales for Maruti ever since its introduction, back in 2016. The Brezza received a facelift last year however it is yet to receive a generation update. We expect Maruti to bring the new-gen Vitara Brezza in the coming time. The Brezza is expected to come back with a diesel engine. Along with that, a hybrid engine is also expected which will help Maruti take the early-mover advantage in this segment.
Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG
Maruti Vitara Brezza, as mentioned above has been a really successful product for the brand. New-gen Maruti Alto
Maruti Alto has been one of the most successful hatchbacks for the carmaker. Alto as a product is known for its low maintenance cost and high reliability. This makes it a great choice for first-time buyers as well as customers looking for a budget-friendly car. With that being said, the car has been waiting for a generation update for quite some time now. We expect Maruti to bring the next-gen Alto in the coming time. With the generation change, the car will come based on the brand’s Heartect platform. Other than this, improved interiors, as well as modern exterior design, are expected with the update.
Maruti Toyota SUV
Maruti is expected to be closely working on a C-segment SUV with Toyota to take on cars like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. Both the brands do not have a product that they can use in this domain. The S-Cross does fall close to the price bracket of the Creta but has not been able to do much against the Hyundai SUV. Maruti and Toyota’s product is mostly expected to be based on the latter’s TNGA platform. The car will thus be shared by both brands with each of the brands giving their unique styling to the car.
Maruti Jimny 5-door
Maruti Jimny 5-door is finally expected to make its debut in the country, mostly by the end of this year (unveiling). The 5-door variant of Jimny would make more sense, as Maruti would focus on delivering an overall value-for-money product, similar to all its other offerings. The car will Maruti’s 1.5-litre petrol engine that cars like Vitara Brezza, Ciaz and a few others get. Also, we might get to see a diesel engine coming with the Jimny as it would turn out to be more useful in off-roading.
New-gen Maruti Celerio
The new-gen Maruti Celerio is expected to launch any time soon in the country. This product will be the brand’s next launch for the customers here. The new-gen Maruti Celerio will be based on the Heartect platform. The car, as revealed from the earlier spy shots and patent leaks, is bigger than the outgoing car. This will directly enhance the comfort inside the cabin along with giving the car a slightly better road presence. The car is expected to come with the brand’s 1.2-litre petrol engine. Also, CNG variants will be made available right from the start.
Maruti Swift Hybrid
Maruti Suzuki Swift is sold with a hybrid setup in countries like Japan and UK. This means that the brand already has this technology in place and is just waiting for a suitable time to bring it to the country. Maruti even showcased the Sift hybrid during the Auto Expo 2020, re-affirming this possibility. Diesel variants
Maruti discontinued its diesel engine variants after the BS6 emission norms were brought into action. However, there are customers that look specifically for diesel cars and the brand takes a beating here. We expect Maruti to bring back its diesel engine in the coming time. Cars like Maruti Ciaz, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Maruti S-Cross, Maruti Ertiga/XL6 and Maruti Jimny (upcoming) are expected ones to get this engine.
