2021 Ford Endeavour – 3 things to know
The Endeavour has been one of the best-selling Ford cars in India. It is a capable full-size SUV that has been in the Indian market for many years. The car has been in production since 2003 and the present generation was unveiled in 2015. The Endeavour is known for its butch looks and all-wheel drive capabilities. The Endeavour competes with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Hyundai Tucson and Mahindra Alturas G4. The pricing of the Endeavour starts from Rs 40.98 lakh and goes to Rs43.92 lakh (on-road Mumbai). Discontinued Variant
Ford is known for rejigging their variant line-up constantly. The American carmaker has now discounted the base-spec Titanium 4×2 trim of the Endeavour. Due to this revision, now the Endeavour starts from the Titanium Plus 4×2 trim. This means that the Endeavour now starts from 33.80 lakhs (ex-showroom price) which is four lakhs more than the titanium 4×2 variant. This new base trim comes with a lot of features though.
2021 Ford Endeavour June sales
As mentioned earlier, Endeavour faces tough competition in its segment. Most of the time it is defeated by the Toyota Fortuner in sales figures. But June was a good month for the Ford Endeavour. The Endeavour sold 892 units in June beating the Fortuner, which sold 549 units in June. It had a 48% share in this segment last month. This is a major boost for Endeavour as it has been struggling to defeat the Fortuner sales figure for quite some time.
Next Generation
New generation models of Endeavour are reportedly under development. Test-mules of the Endeavour have already been spotted testing in Australia. The Endeavour is said to get a complete overhaul in design and will look like Ford pick-up trucks. It will also have the most powerful engine in its segment. The new-generation Ford Endeavour is expected to come loaded with features that would surely help it take a stand strong in front of the competition. The SUV is expected to be unveiled soon with the launch expected to be somewhere around next year. The car will be launched in Australia first and then will make its way to India, by mid-2022.
