Hyundai i20 diesel automatic & N Line
Hyundai i20 holds quite a reputable name for itself when it comes to hatchbacks. The i20 is one of the most premium ones available in the market today. Hyundai offers this car multiple engine & transmission options, however, the car currently misses a diesel automatic. Tata Altroz automatic
Tata Altroz is another hatchback that holds a strong ground in its segment. The car is currently available with petrol and diesel engine options, however, both of them come mated to manual gearboxes only. The brand was expected to bring a DCT gearbox for the Altroz, however that plan has not been brought to fruition until now. We expect Tata to bring automatic gearbox options for the Altroz in the coming time.
New-gen Honda Jazz
Honda Jazz, although falls in the premium hatchback category in the country, has not been able to do really well in the market. The car competes with products like Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno. With that being said, Honda has already updated the Jazz with a generation change in the foreign markets. The car now comes equipped with modern features and a new look. We expect to see the new-gen Honda Jazz coming to India as well in the coming time.
Maruti Celerio
The new-gen Maruti Celerio is expected to launch in the country somewhere around August. The car will now be based on the Heartect platform and will be bigger than the outgoing car. This will directly affect the comfort levels inside the cabin in a positive way. We expect the Celerio to come powered by Maruti’s 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines. CNG variants are expected to be made available right from the start.
Next-gen Maruti Alto
Maruti is also expected to bring a generation update for the Alto in the coming time. Similar to the Celerio, the car will now come based on the brand’s Heartect platform. Other than this, improved interiors, as well as modern exterior design, are expected with the update.
