4×4 cars we can buy in 2021
With the switch of BS6, there have been a lot of changes in terms of engines. A lot of cars with 4×4 were discontinued as the engines could not transition over. Here are the 4×4 cars that are left or have been newly introduced in 2021. All prices mentioned below are on-road Mumbai.
Cars with dual zone climate control
Mahindra Thar
The Mahindra Thar which had been introduced in 2020 gets a 4×4 system even with an automatic gearbox. This car gets both petrol and diesel engine. The prices of the Mahindra Thar starts at Rs 14.58 lakhs. It gets convertible options. The top model of the vehicle goes up to Rs 17.26 lakhs. The SUV also gets 4-star safety ratings.
Mahindra Alturas
Mahindra also gets one more 4×4 in the form of Alturas. The car come in both 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive versions. Lastly, the Mahindra Alturas comes at Rs 34.87 lakhs for the 4×4 version. This car gets a huge footprint and has a good 3-row space.
Toyota Fortuner
Toyota Fortuner comes with a 4×4 version but the Legender model misses out on it. This comes with a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. The 4×4 comes only with a diesel engine. The price is for the 4×4 variant starts at Rs 42.94 lakhs and the automatic variant comes at Rs 45.68 lakhs.
Ford Endeavour
Ford Endeavour now comes with only one 2.0 litre diesel engine. The 4×4 variant is priced at Rs 43.14 lakhs. There is no manual gearbox on offer. The sport variant of the vehicle is priced at Rs 43.29 lakh.
Jeep Compass

MG Gloster
On the MG Gloster, you get 5 variants of which 2 are 2 wheel drive and the other 3 have 4 wheel drive option. You also get to choose between 7 seater and 6 seaters in the Sharp variant. The Savy top variant comes only in 6 seater version. It gets an automatic gearbox and the top variant gets ADAS too. The highest price that you could pay for the top model MG Gloster is Rs 43.59 Lakh. The base model is priced at Rs 41.91 Lakh.
