Should You Wait for New Mahindra SUV?
We have come across some images of New Mahindra SUV which have been spotted while on test. There are 2 SUVs and we assume that one is Scorpio and another is the XUV500. So if you are planning to buy any of these vehicles now should you wait for the update. What could be the price increase and when will they launch?
Mahindra XUV500 Expectations
We had recently revealed 5 things that you can expect on the Mahindra XUV500. The car will be way premium than it is now. It will have features like electronic parking brake, digital touchscreen and many other features.
As you can see the spy images this new Mahindra SUV has been spotted while being tested on a high terrain. The headlight unit has been replaced by a dummy unit.
The XUV500 is expected with leather upholstery as well at fabric seats. This will differ according to the variant that you choose. The XUV500 also is expected to gets a single floating mount for the touchscreen as well as the driver infotainment system.
Launch of the XUV500 is expected in 2021 and by the mid of year we might hear an announcement for the unveil dates. Also with this we are expecting to see a new Mahindra logo which will carry forward to all the Mahindra vehicles.
Mahindra Scorpio
The Mahindra Scorpio on the other hand which was expected with the Mahindra XUV500 seems to have been delayed. A new S3+ variant has been introduced and that indicated towards Mahindra’s intention to keep this vehicle for long time.
Now the Scorpio is expected on the same platform as the Thar. It might also get a similar centre console unit as on the Thar. The Interiors of the Mahindra Scorpio have not been spotted but there will be a floating touchscreen on offer.
Mahindra Scorpio gets a side mounted door and that might indicate that Mahindra might retain the side mounted seating layout on the Scorpio. This might take a toll on safety rating of the vehicle but it is to early to say that without actually having the safety rating results.
Delayed Launch
Mahindra has recently launched a new variant for the Scorpio 2021. The S3+ variant has been introduced to make the Scorpio an affordable offering for 2021. This hints towards a late launch of the new generation Scorpio. So if you are waiting for the Mahindra XUV500 then it makes a reasonable bet but the Scorpio seems far away from a launch right now. The dates of these New Mahindra SUV launches have not been revealed.

Shall we expect a new Scorpio [Scorpion or Scorpio Sting] alongside the erstwhile scorpio. I’m confused if I should wait for this new SUV as it being cheaper than XUV500 and looking to have more capacity than the current generation scorpio.
