3 Expectations on Upcoming Ford SUV
Ford is coming with an XUV based SUV and we expect it to be similar to the Ford Equator spotted in China. Here are 3 Things that we expect to see on the Upcoming Ford SUV which we have also seen and confirmed on the XUV 500 next gen as well.
Will it be called Ford Equator?
There is no confirmation on the name Equator the car might be very similar. A lot of features of the Ford Equator have been spotted on the test mule of the XUV500 which has been spotted multiple times on Indian Roads. Read more about that in the article pinned below.
Single Piece Screen
As seen on the Ford Equator the driver information screen and the infotainment system are under a single glass screen. This includes 2 digital dials on the driver side which we assume to be showing speed and the tachometer. The it also seemed to have a gear position indicator at the center of one of the dial.
ADAS
The XUV500 is rumored to come with a level 1 ADAS system and the Ford Equator too was spotted with ADAS system. For the Upcoming Ford SUV in India we are expecting Ford to not skip on this features as they have the technology on their other international vehicle and can tweak it for Indian conditions.
Dimensions
From the Front the Equator looks very similar to the MG Hector. In terms of dimension the car is 4,905 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, 1,755 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. These dimensions make it a fairly large SUV which for India is not really the suitable size. We might see some trimming down in length of the vehicle as it is almost 5 metres now.
The launch details of this Upcoming Ford SUV are not clear. We are suggesting that the Ford Equator might be a vehicle that resembles close to the Ford XUV based SUV. With the launch of XUV500 we will have more clearer idea of what we could expect on the Ford SUV.
