1)Hyundai Terracan

The Hyundai Terracan was dubbed as the Soft SUV from Hyundai. It came with a single Diesel engine option.  A 7-seater SUV with manual transmission and 2902cc engine was all that you got.  There were two variants to choose from. The Hyundai Terracan cost between Rs.19.48 lakh to Rs.25.00 lakh.

2)Mitsubishi Pajero

A highly famous car in its segment.  The last recorded price of the Mitsubishi Pajero was around Rs.21.87 lakh. The SFX model is legendary while the Sport model is the latest.  The Mitsubishi Pajero SFX came with a single 2.8L SOHC Turbocharged Diesel engine option. You got 118bhp@4000rpm and 292Nm@2000rpm. AWD option was also made available. A 5-speed manual transmission was on offer.  The car was known for its spectacular off-road capability and was a favourite among enthusiasts.

3) Maruti Grand Vitara

A true contender from a wildly popular brand in India. The Maruti Grand Vitara was very famous in the olden times.  You got a single 2.4L Petrol engine option with both 5-speed manual/4-speed automatic transmission option here.  The 2393cc engine produces a maximum power output of 163.5bhp@6000rpm and a peak torque output of 225Nm@4000rpm.  The SUV came with a 200mm ground clearance.  The manual variant was price around Rs.22.68 lakh while the automatic variant cost Rs.24.61 lakh.

4) Chevrolet Captiva

The SUV was priced between Rs.19.00 lakh to Rs.21.00 lakh.  The SUV had modern looks and feel for its time.  Two engine options were available with the SUV: 2200cc Diesel engine and 2400cc Petrol engine.  Dual airbags, ABS with EBD and a host of other features present.  You get 147hp  and 320Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmission was present with the SUV.

5) Renault Koleos

The Renault Koleos was launched in 2012 but discontinued soon. It was not a very successful product. You got a 2.0L dCi Diesel engine which produces 150PS@4000rpm and 320Nm@2000rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel-drive option was present. It was seen as a Luxury SUV among its competition.  The price was kept between Rs.27.00 lakh to Rs.32.00 lakh.

6) Toyota Qualis

Exactly not a forgotten SUV. The Toyota Qualis is an evergreen product.  It was a very affordable product with a price tag between Rs.3.80 lakh to Rs.7.89 lakh. The Qualis had a single Diesel engine on offer.  The 2466cc engine produced 75PS@4200rpm and 151Nm@2400rpm. It was more of an MPV than an SUV. It came with 20+ variants to choose from.
