Kia, the Korean sister brand of Hyundai in India recently launched the 2021 Kia Carnival in its home market of Korea.  The Kia Carnival 2021 also known as the Sedona has been unveiled as the fourth generation avatar of the MPV in Korea. The new Kia Carnival sports the Kia Seltos front grille for starters. The MPV retains its boxy-like looks but MPVs are always about space and practicality and less about looks. Straight lines on the bonnet give it an edge over the competition and the body looks streamlined on the render.  The new designers have even dubbed the new model as ‘Grand Utility Vehicle’ according to sources owing to its futuristic new style, SUV inspired looks and a stronger and more stylish presence.

Current Scenario

Kia Carnival India

Kia Motors launched the third generation of Kia Carnival in the Auto Expo 2020.  The new car is available with (7/8/9) seating option. It comes with a 2.2-litre BS6 compliant diesel engine producing 200hp with 8-speed automatic transmission.  The third-generation Kia Carnival costs between Rs.24.95 to Rs.33.95 lakh(ex-showroom, India). Interiors Design

The new Kia Carnival will get premium upholstery, an all-new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a similar-sized fully digital instrument cluster. Safety is also given due importance with features like blind-spot view mirror, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-spot/Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, High-beam Assist and Safe exit assist.  Only time will tell how many of these actual safety features will come to the Indian offering.

The upcoming Kia Carnival 2021 comes with three engine options.
