Honda Amaze BS6 Variants – Which to Buy?

The Honda Amaze is currently the best-seller from the company.

It is a compact sedan that offers the best cabin space and also strong features. The car gets stiff competition from the likes of the Swift Dzire and the Hyundai Aura as well. It is currently the entry-level car from Honda.

This model is completely different from the last one which was based on the Brio hatchbacks. The car stresses on comfort for all the passengers along with a smooth ride. The Amaze has also been updated recently to meet with the BS6 emission norms. We explain all the variants of the Honda Amaze BS6 below.

Engine and transmission

Honda has decided to retain its diesel engine and give it the necessary BS6 updates. The Honda Amaze BS6 gets 1.2-litre petrol producing 89 bhp and 110 nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 1.5-litre unit producing 99 bhp and 200 nm of torque. It gets a five-speed manual as standard and an option of a CVT gearbox. All variants above the standard “E” variant get the optional CVT gearbox.

All variants are also available with both engines.

Honda Amaze BS6 E

The standard variant of the Amaze comes with features such as dual front airbags, Isofix child-seat anchors, ABS with EBD, day/night rear-view mirror, rear parking sensor, power steering, 4.0-cm multi-info display, all four power windows, front 12V accessory socket. This variant is available with both engines. But it does not get the option CVT gearbox. It is priced from Rs 6.18 – 7.65 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Honda Amaze S

The “S” variant gets additional features like body-coloured power-folding and adjustable wing mirrors with turn indicators, body-coloured door handles, full-wheel cover, 2DIN audio system with Aux/Bluetooth/USB, steering-mounted audio and telephony controls, central locking, power door locks with keyless entry, rear 12V accessory socket, height-adjustable driver’s seat, rear armrest with cupholder, tilt-steering, adjustable front seat headrests. This is priced from Rs 6.90 lakh to 9.01 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Amaze V

The “V” variant gets additional features such as LED daytime running lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, keyless go with push-button start, automatic climate control, a 7.0-cm Multi-info display, rear defogger, paddle shifters (on petrol CVT only). Amaze VX

The top variant of the Honda Amaze BS6 comes with features such as a 7-inch infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen, GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, reverse Camera, steering-mounted voice controls, cruise control. It is priced from 8.01 – 9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom).
