The Mahindra XUV 300 is one of the underrated cars in its segment. It gets a fresh design along with a powerful engine and some segment-first features as well. The BS6 petrol was launched earlier in December itself. Now, the diesel version of the XUV 300 has been finally launched. The petrol is a 1.2-litre turbo variant producing 109 bhp and 200 nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel is a 1.5 litre producing 115 bhp and an impressive 300 nm of torque. While petrol is only available with a manual gearbox, the diesel comes with the option of an AMT as well. We give you a variant wise breakdown of the features below.

Mahindra XUV 300 W4

The base variant of the XUV 300 comes with features like 16-inch steel wheels, black fabric seats, LED taillamps, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, two airbags, ABS with EBD, corner braking control, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX anchors, 60:40 spilt two-row, electric tailgate release – four speakers (diesel only), centre roof lamp, 12V accessory socket,  adjustable second-row headrest, padded front armrest, rear parking sensors, electric ORVMs, Bluesense app and one USB charging point (diesel only), micro-hybrid technology, front and rear power window, smartwatch connectivity (diesel only), monochrome infotainment display and Bluetooth/ AUX/ USB connectivity (diesel only).

W6/ W6 Autoshift

The W6 variant comes with additional features such as a remote locking, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, steering mounted controls, the key with remote, built-in GPS Bluesense app, follow-me-home and lead-me headlamps.

The W8 variant comes with features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, ESP with roll-over mitigation, hill start assist, front and rear fog lamps, rear defogger, wash and wipe, warning lamps on front doors, anti-theft alarm, leather steering and gear lever knob, cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, illuminated sun visors with vanity mirrors, two tweeters, rear armrest with cup holders, illuminated boot and glove box, dual-zone fully automatic temperature control, 3.5-inch supervision cluster with TFT screen, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, two USB charging ports, voice commands and SMS readout, black plush fabric seats

The top-of-the-line variant of the XUV 300 comes with additional features such as 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual-tone roof rails, seven airbags, front parking sensors, heated ORVMs, three-point seatbelt for the middle seat in the second row, second-row seatbelt reminder, electric sunroof with anti-pinch, bungee strap for stowage, tyre-Tronics, auto-dimming IRVM.

Mahindra XUV 300 pricing and competition

The XUV 300 has launched with prices starting from Rs 8.30 – Rs 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Key rivals to the XUV300 include the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon.
