The Kia Sonet has created hype much before its launch. The car has been getting a lot of reveals on what the actual production will be looking like. It was revealed in the Auto Expo this year and the design was liked by the people. The sub-compact SUV is also becoming very trendy overall and many manufacturers want to get into this segment. The 2020 Kia Sonet looked good on the design front when it was shown at the Auto Expo. Many of the features in the car were a head-turner. The overall dimensions of the car and will be the same as it was shown in the Expo as the car has to be a sub-four-metre one. Although it was shown with features like integrated door handles, dual exhaust tips, large tyres, chrome finish colour and dynamic lights. It is not sure as to how many of these features will indeed make it on the production-ready car and almost all of them could be left out.

Kia Sonet Name

The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion under the Ministry of Industry & Commerce of the Government of India has objected to the ‘Kia Sonet’ name for the Indian market. Therefore Kia will have to think up of a new name for its sub-compact SUV. This is one of the most biggest Kia Sonet changes that we can expect!

Features and Interiors

The interiors of the car were recently been leaked and it is indeed a mini Kia Seltos from the inside as well. Like the Kia Seltos, it will have loads of features to take on its rivals and includes the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connect as seen on the Seltos. This feature will probably be on the higher variants of the car. The car also gets other features such as wireless charging facility, sunroof, ambient lighting, automatic climate control system, adjustable headrests, keyless entry and so on. The safety features will range from multiple airbags, Anti-lock brakes, reverse parking sensors and camera alongside a host of assistive technologies.

Kia Sonet Pricing

Apart from all this the 2020 Kia Sonet will apply the same formula as the Kia Seltos and be priced very competitively and also be offered in a host of variants. The car was due for a launch in August but now the launch could be shifted due to the virus. It will be priced between Rs 7-12 lakh (ex-showroom) and compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Venue. The Kia Seltos has been one of the highest-selling cars in the country and the Kia Sonet which will be the third offering from the company also plans to do the same thing.
