Engine and transmission

The Scorpio loses out on the previously offered 2.5-litre engine option. The 2.2-litre mHawk engine on the Mahindra Scorpio produces 140 bhp and 320 nm of torque. The Scorpio is mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard. There is also an all-new model of the Scorpio that has been spotted testing but it will not be launched anytime soon. The new Tata Sumo could be a rival for the Scorpio if Tata decides to bring in the car.
