The new Hyundai Creta had been launched amidst the pandemic. The Creta has been known to be the most dominating car in the market for many years until the launch of the Kia Seltos. Now, the Creta gets an all-new model that promises to take on the Kia Seltos. It gets everything new from the ground-up. Although we are not able to drive the car at length, we give you the five things we love about the car.

Variants and pricing

The car comes in a total of 14 variants which include three kinds of engines and three kinds of gearboxes as well. This makes the Hyundai Creta accessible to a big range of customers and appeals to many people. The price range also becomes wide and the car is available now from Rs 10 – 17.2 lakh(ex-showroom). The car also gets the turbo 1.4-litre petrol from the Seltos that produces 140 bhp.

Hyundai Creta DCT gearbox

The Hyundai Creta gets a lot of things that are borrowed from the Kia Seltos. This is not a bad thing at all as it gets the new DCT gearbox from the company. The dual-clutch gearbox is one of the best performing gearboxes that are out there in the market. The car is even better tuned than the Kia Seltos. The car even gets paddle shifters on it which makes a big difference. The gearshifts are quick and seamless and it is perfect for enthusiasts as well as for driving in city traffic.

Interior quality

The overall fit and finish of the interiors of the Creta have been changed drastically from the previous one. The car gets a premium feel and the additional elements such as the large gear console also give it a premium feel. It also gets quilted leatherette upholstery, contrast stitching on the seats and steering.

Hyundai Creta infotainment system

The Creta’s 10.25-inch touchscreen is as slick as it looks, its sound delivered through a superb Bose audio system. The infotainment system in itself is very intuitive to use and has been positioned correctly as well. It gets the new UVO Connect system as well from Hyundai that lets you perform a lot of the controls of the car through an app on your phone.
