Design

When you look at the design of the car it tends to resemble a typical American SUV. This is because the Kia Telluride is made especially for the American market. In terms of size, the Telluride measures 5.0 m in length, 1.99 m in width and 1.75 m in height. For reference, the Toyota Fortuner measures 4.79 m in length, 1.85 m in width and a height of 1.83 m.

Safety

The safety features are many on the Kia Telluride, but what is impressive is that many of them come as standard on the car. The car gets stuff like blind-spot monitor, auto emergency braking system. It even gets a safe exit system where the car guides you to safely get out of a parking spot. It also gets surround view monitoring and highway driving assist.

The Kia Telluride only gets one engine on it. This is the massive 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6. It produces 290 bhp and 355 nm of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. If the car does come to our market, it will definitely get the option of a diesel engine. Although the power outputs could be higher than the competitors.

The seats are covered in quilted, double-stitched Nappa leather with brushed metal and matte wood inserts all around the cabin. On the features front, you get a 12-way driver’s electronic seat adjustment, ventilated seats, automatic high beams, dual sunroofs, heads-up display and rain-sensing wipers. It also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a Harman/Kardon audio system

Pricing and launch

The pricing of the product in the US markets is Rs 25 – 30 lakh when converted. The car if at all brought to India will definitely be costlier than this. Right now, the company will be concentrating on its launch for the Sonet compact SUV.
