Harley-Davidson has always been always popular for making big cruisers and baggers. However, Harley-Davidson is on the way to make changes in its portfolio. The manufacturer is now considering to produce cafe-racer and flat track motorcycles. Now that sounds quite unconventional but also rises curiosity. Continue reading the blog and you will get to know more about this Harley-Davidson cafe-racer and flat tracker.

Harley Davidson cafe-racer

The images of these motorcycles have been leaked across the Internet and we can clearly see the design elements of the bike. Taking a closer look we see that the Harley-Davidson cafe-racer will have dual-rear shock absorber, USD forks at the front, twin-disc at the front and a single disc at the rear and a big twin-cylinder engine.

Engine

The engine is a 60 degree V-type two-cylinder engine. However, the displacement is still a mystery. We find the engine very similar to the New Revolution Max Engine. So we can presume the displacement will be 975 cc or 1250 cc. These engines will be seen in the upcoming  Bronx and Pan America respectively. However, the cafe and flat-tracker are expected to come with the bigger 1250 cc engine. The engine produces 145 bhp and 122 Nm peak torque.

Flat Tracker

Moving towards the flat-tracker motorcycle, it gets very bulky design with a high mounted exhaust system. It will certainly have an analogue speedometer, single-piece handlebar, silver-finished engine and clutch cover. The flat-tracker motorcycle will be competing against Indian FTR 1200, while the cafe racer motorcycle will be competing against Triumph Thruxton R, Kawasaki Z900 RS.

While there is zero information about the launch date and price. We can only expect it to launch somewhere in Q3 of 2021. If our engine guesses to be correct we can expect it to have similar pricing as the Pan America.

Fat Bob discontinued in India

Recently Harley-Davidson Fat Bob has been discontinued in India, as it did not get BS6 update. It is not yet confirmed by the manufacturer about the BS6 update, but we can expect to arrive in mid-2020. Fat Bob is one of the most famous in the whole world or we can say it as an identity bike of Harley-Davidson. The bike is powered by humongous 1,745 cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine that produces around  65 bhp max power and 145 Nm of peak torque. It costs around Rs 14.69 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The most affordable Harley-Davidson bike you can buy in India is Street 750. While the most expensive is the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited priced at Rs 50.83 lakhs. The upcoming model that will be coming in India will have Iron 1200 as well.
