The KIA Seltos has taken the country by storm by becoming an instant hit amongst the Indian consumers. It has gauged the Indian market and therefore made strategic adjustments to its car. It is offered in eight variants along with three engine options as well as four gearbox options. The price band is also vast making it available for many kinds of customers as it is priced from 9.69lakhs (ex-showroom) to 15.99lakhs (ex-showroom). The only problem is the waiting period which is close to 3 months for some of the variants. There is one option now though if you want to skip the waiting

Car in question

The first used Kia Seltos in Mumbai is now available on Broker Dalal- a used car dealership website. Now obviously it is not the same as buying a brand new car. You will not get the option of choosing your variant, nor will you have the option of choosing your favourite colour that you might have imagined yourself in driving your car. But you do get at least 85,000 off and you also get to own the car instantly instead of waiting for such a long time. Many customers are put down when they enter the showroom and are told about the long waiting period for their car. So let us look at a closer look at the details about the car.

It is a white car and on the HTX+ variant. The used Seltos has been driven for 1500 km and is a few months old and is quoted at 18.8lakhs and a new car for the same variant goes up to 19.65lakh(on-road). It is in the diesel engine form mated to an automatic gearbox which produces 114Bhp and 250nm torque which may not seem like much but it is sufficient for the car. It also claims to give 18km/l. Obviously this is the quoted price and this could go even less subject to the demand for the car which is only 85,000 below its original selling price. This might not look like a very good deal for any other car, but on the KIA Seltos with the huge demand, it is sure to attract people even at this pricing.

FEATURES

Well, the party-pack of the car are the features which include:

Hill-start assist, ESC, front parking sensors, UV Cut glass, 8-way power adjust for driver’s seat, 7.0-inch multi-info display, 8-speaker Bose stereo sound system, 360-degree camera, driver rearview monitor, ventilated seats, wireless charging, power sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, standard all four disc brakes, automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, LED light bar, LED tail-lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheels, steering wheel tilt and telescopic adjustment, rear reclining seats with 60:40 split and adjustable headrests, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, ambient mood lighting, anti-glare inside rearview mirror,  UVO connectivity features, wireless charging, USB ports for the second row, air purifier, automatic air conditioner.

Considering that you have to wait at least 2 months in order to get this particular variant, if the top of the line diesel automatic is what you wanted and are okay with buying a used car although it is rarely can be said used, then this does seem to be a great car on the face of it but obviously nothing can be said until you yourself experience the car by taking it for a test drive. The Kia Seltos rivals the MG Hector and the Tata Harrier. You can check out our review on the Kia Seltos.
