MG Hector 6-seater Exterior and engine

As we can see the clear spy shots given here, the Hector 6-seater is going to be visually tweaked to make it stand in the crowd from its five-seater sibling. One will instantly recognize this car as a different model. Firstly, the Hector 6-seater will get different and exclusive color options in comparison to the regular car. This blue car shown here wears a paint option not available on the Hector. The car will also get a new front grille, redesigned headlamps, DRLs and a revised exhaust/lower bumper. As far as we can see, the taillights seem to remain the same and do not change. On the side, again there are not any visual changes in terms of design or badging. The alloy wheels and tyre size also seem to be different but we will come to know more about that when the car is launched.

The MG Hector 6-seater will not get any more changes on the outside. Taling about power – the MG Hector 6-seater is going retain the current engine options – a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol that makes 138bhp and 250Nm of torque, and the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre diesel motor that produces 167bhp and 350Nm. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a DCT. Both these engines are going to be updated to meet upcoming BS6 emission norms in April.

MG Hector 6-seater Interior

This is where we will the addition of the third row. Now, why will it be a six-seater and not a seven? Well MG has decided to make sure that the Hector 6-seater is the most premium offering in its range. To do that, comfort will be paramount and making sure that there is ample comfort, the second row will consist of two big captain seats that will be different than the seats found on the MG Hector. The last row will have two seats that can be folded flat and will get headrests too. MG will provide some features for the third row like a charger and blower speed controls for the AC in the third row. Apart from that, we will not see any more changes on the inside. If there are any we will have to wait and find out.

The car will be available with a petrol and diesel engine option and should at least get four variant options. These variant options will get mostly all the features like the sunroof and connected car interface. Prices should be Rs 1.5 lakhs to Rs 2 lakhs over the regular car.
