Kia Compact SUV concept to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2020

Kia has recently teased its upcoming compact SUV. This is still in the concept stage, It will be shown at the Auto Expo 2020. The compact SUV will launch during the festive season this year. There have been a few speculations about the vehicle. It has been spied many times while being tested.

Compact SUV Competition

Internally this Kia Compact SUV is known as the Kia QYi. The vehicle will be under four meters. This car will be a head-on take on the Hyundai Venue. This segment has a tight competition with Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 300. The pricing is also very competitive and this makes it really difficult to make the vehicle in less cost.

Kia Expected Features

Now to take on the Hyundai Venue will be easy. The vehicle will be using the same underpinnings as the Hyundai Venue. The Kia Compact SUV will be different in terms of the exterior and interior design. The front of the vehicle will have the Kia Tiger Nose grille. It will also get the honeycomb inserts. All these changes will make the Kia Compact SUV look much bolder than the Hyundai Venue. The headlight setup will be like the Kia Seltos.

The design will also look much sharper and sporty.

Also, the roofline of the vehicle will be sloping. This might cut down on the headroom of the vehicle. So there won’t be a rear quarter glass and the C pillar will be a bit thicker. But this does not eat into the rear window of the vehicle.

The roof of the vehicle in the concept is flanked by roof rails and rear spoiler. The car has a black and matte silver insert at various places which beefs up the look. The car is expected to be seen with complete interior details at the Auto Expo 2020.

Kia Compact SUV Engine Specs

The Kia Compact SUV is expected to get a 1.5-litre BS6 engine as on the Hyundai Venue. The 1.2 petrol and 1.0 Turbo petrol engine will also be seen on the vehicle.
