Hyundai Venue 2020 could get bigger BS6 diesel engine!
The Hyundai Venue 2020 will not get more in terms of features. It is a pretty feature loaded car that gets smart connectivity features, wireless charging, an air purifier, a sunroof, three engine options with one offered with a DCT gearbox as well and is also the freshest in terms of design for the segment. With more features than any other compact SUV in the segment, what will we get new in the upcoming Venue? Nothing in terms of features but more importantly, the Hyundai Venue BS6 will be the model year update that the company will introduce to the market.
Hyundai Venue 2020 BS6 engines?
Yes, the Venue will be BS6 compliant next year now. And unlike many manufacturers – Volkswagen, Honda and Maruti Suzuki who have said they will not offer diesel cars to customers from 1st April onwards, Hyundai has not given up on the idea of diesel being part of their product line-up. Hyundai has said that all cars will be updated to BS6 standards and will be built to comply with the upcoming emission norms. The Hyundai Venue will continue to get its 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.2-litre petrol engines in a BS6 state of tune. What might change is that there will be a new diesel engine. So the 1.4-litre diesel might make way for a 1.5-litre BS6 compliant engine. A 1.5-litre diesel engine from Hyundai’s sister company – Kia Motors. The engine powering the Seltos right now is going to be used in the Hyundai Creta and could serve as the only engine option on small Hyundai cars. So the Hyundai Venue will receive it and so will the upcoming Hyundai i20 BS6 model.

There will not be a significant power loss for both petrol engines and the diesel engine will be a bit more powerful than before. The 1.5-litre will be then available with both a manual and automatic gearbox.
Prices and features?
Hyundai might add variants and make sure that some features from the higher variants are made available on the lower models. But in terms of new features, nothing that the car already does not have already in terms of safety or convenience is going to be added. Hyundai will hike the price of the car too. Expect an increase of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakhs on the Hyundai Venue 2020. This also begs the question for many customers who should now buy the BS4 car on which they might be able to avail decent discounts. I think it’s better to buy Venue 2020 model for diesel version because of two main reasons even though the price may rise by 2 lacs
1. More punchy engine will make it more sporty.
2. Automatic version will offer choices -
I’m in the same dilemma. Should I wait for BS6 Venue (dealer said it will increase price by about 1.5 lacs) or buy BS4 Venue now?
Point to note, there is no discount on BS4 Venue, it is the only Hyundai car without any discount.

My query is if you could tell me the what would be the increase in price for this variant approximately with the new BS 6 Update. I have already purchased a vehicle VENUE SX DIESEL. In August 2019 . It’s BS 4 . How I can get BS 6 . in 2020 .
Hyundai has niether announced not updated the new 1.5 diesel variant in their official website,but it is available with the dealership. My query is that if it not officially launched and updated in official site then dealership are selling it.are they befooling the customer or there is something els.if it available then what is engine specification in terms of BHP and torque.
