Ford EcoSport BS6 launched- prices and details inside
Ford EcoSport was a product by the Ford in the compact SUV segment. Ford EcoSport was the First choice of car enthusiasts. This was because it had three engine options which no other OEM offered. Entering into hectic year of BS6 launches, Ford has finally joined the league by launching 2020 EcoSport BS6. Prices of the vehicle starts from Rs 8.04 lakh and goes up towards 11.58 lakh ex-showroom. Despite BS6 upgrade the prices are exceptionally kept closer to the respective BS4 trims. Ford BS6 Engine
Talking about the power train, Surprisingly the new BS6 EcoSport has withdrawn 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol from Indian version, instead it has now just given a 1.5 litre three cylinder petrol engine. This engine creating max power of 122 PS and peak torque of 149 Nm. The 1.5 litre Diesel engine however produces max power of 100PS and max torque about 215Nm. Gearbox for now is offered only in 5 speed manual, unlike its predecessor which had an option of 6 speed automatic. Withdrawing the 1.0 litre engine could disappoint car enthusiasts. So we are expecting that Ford might bring 1.0 litre EcoBoost BS6 later this year. It seems AMT will make its way later on considering the market demand.
EcoSport Pricing
Prices of the vehicle starts from Rs 8.04 lakh and goes up towards 11.58 lakh ex-showroom. Despite BS6 upgrade the prices are exceptionally kept closer to the respective BS4 trims. Ford EcoSport BS6 is launched with 13 variants. Among them 7 are 1.5 litre petrol and rest 6 are 1.5 litre Diesel. Ford motors has announced 3 years or 1,00,000 km as a standard warranty on the EcoSport.

BS6 Features
Talking about the features, Ford EcoSport comes with tons of preloaded features, which includes 6 airbags as a crucial feature. The list of driver assisting features includes automatic HID headlamp, daytime running lights, electrochromic mirrors, rain sensing wipers, push button start, and so forth. The higher variants are equipped with previously seen sync 3 infotainment system with 8 inch touch screen display supporting Apple Carplay and Android auto connectivity, although most of variants gets a 9 inch touch screen infotainment system and navigation.
Aesthetically the design is not changed from its BS4 to BS6 model so you can’t distinguish easily just by looking at it. Apart from Motor not much has been changed in terms of features, interior, etc. Ford EcoSport is always been a drivers car, hope it has not changed its character.
