Maruti Swift Deca has been launched in Vxi and Vdi variants only. This is a limited edition variant, which was even showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. This has been launched for INR 6.6 lakhs for petrol and INR 7.5 lakhs for the diesel (on-road, New Delhi). These pricing make the Swift Deca a good option to consider. What makes it special? The additional features like touchscreen system, body vinyl and even different alloy wheels too.

Maruti Swift launched in DLX limited edition

Maruti Swift has been launched in DLX limited edition variant. This is available on the Lxi and LDi variants. The Swift DLX is priced at INR 4.95 lakhs (on-road, New Delhi). The Swift DLX gets features like a music system with USB and bluetooth, all four power windows, central locking, fog lamps and blacked out door pillars.

The new Swift doesn’t look radically different from the current one. This one is also an evolution of the current one. The new Swift has a similar design of the headlamps and then the blacked out door pillars as well. The front and even the side profile still similar the currently sold Swift. This is based on the new Baleno platform. Maruti Suzuki has already started undergoing comprehension tests in Europe. A new Swift has been sketched, and this looks a lot more aggressive.

2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Design

The new Swift will be sharper and sporty. Maruti will continue with the same design language for the Swift, however it will want to go ahead with some new design elements. This time, there won’t be an increase in its length. The Swift’s front grille has hexagonal grille with sharp looking headlamps. The rear door’s handle is on the window like the Chevrolet Beat. This follows Suzuki’s new design language that will trickle on newer products too. If the Swift sees an increase in its dimensions, it won’t be possible to make the new DZire and the current DZire is just four metres.

What the Swift will retain is its original design cues like blacked out door pillars, floating roof design and even muscular looks. The rear pillar is extremely thick and the wing mirrors will be similarly sized. The Swift Sport will get a more powerful engine and even more additional styling cues too. This will look a lot more aggressive and mean. The tail lamp design on the Swift is all new, while the Sport version will be getting the additional body kit too.

2017 Maruti Swift Interiors

The interior styling is all new. The new generation Suzuki steering wheel with steering mounted controls, new instrument cluster and even round AC vents. The touchscreen system too on the Swift 2017 looks stylish. The Swift for India will come with an all black interiors. The quality will be similar to that of the Baleno. The features of the new Swift will be keyless entry, push start and stop, touchscreen infotainment system with maps, reverse parking camera, bluetooth connectivity, USB and even auxiliary. This is the first time the Swift will be coming with a touchscreen system. In terms of safety features, the Swift 2017 will come with dual airbags and ABS as a standard feature. There will even be climate control. The new Swift will be a lot more spacious than the current one.

The Swift Sport comes with black and red interiors, while the regular Swift will get all black interiors. The Swift Sport might not be making its way into India. But Suzuki is working on a hybrid version of the Swift that will be coming to India for sure, but there is no fixed timeline for that.

2017 Maruti Swift Engines

The new Maruti Swift 2017 will be offered with a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine. This engine will be churning about 85bhp of power and 115Nm of peak torque. This engine is the upgraded version of the 1.2-litre K Series that is powering today’s Swift. The second engine will be a diesel one. This will be a 1.2-litre diesel engine that will be developed by Suzuki. This engine will churn about 70bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. This will be coming with a five or maybe even a six-speed manual transmission. The Swift 2017 will even come with an AMT for the diesel engine and the petrol could also get the AMT as well this time as well.
