Volkswagen Polo GTI to be priced at INR 28.20 lakhs (on-road)
To excite enthusiasts, Volkswagen will be launching the Polo GTI this month. This will be the flagship variant within the Polo range. This will be the first proper hot hatch from the German maker. The company has released a teaser of the video of the Polo GTI on their social media page. The car promises to be a thrilling one with a top speed of 233 km/h. Volkswagen Polo GTI Launch
The Volkswagen Polo GTI will be launched in November 2016, which is later this month. The booking for the car is open and will be limited to the first 99 customers only. This will be the second new product launch for Volkswagen India for this year.
Volkswagen Polo GTI Price
Volkswagen Polo GTI will be priced at INR 28.2 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). As it will be a CBU, it will attract a high price tag. This The price is just short of luxurious hatchbacks and of course similar to the pricing of the VW Jetta.

Volkswagen Polo GTI Exterior
The light the body, the better is the performance. The smaller the wheelbase the better will be the handling. The Polo GTI for India will be a two-door version. This means it will be an ideal recipe for the enthusiasts. There is hot hatchback in India at the moment, which is two door. The Polo GTI will be coming to India with 17-inch alloy wheels mostly with Bridgestone Potenza low profile tyres.
The fascia will resemble the Polo, however there will be a lot of differences in styling. This one will be a lot more sporty and this will be coming with a body kit as well. The Volkswagen Polo GTI will be getting red colour disc brakes and all the four brakes will have discs. Ohh and not to forget the dual exhaust pipes. The GTI can be instantly recognised, not just because of two doors but even its sporty stance that makes it a great option to consider.
Volkswagen Polo GTI Interior
The Volkswagen Polo GTI interior will be similar to the Polo, however the rear seats won’t have much knee room. The Polo GTI will more features like a touchscreen system and sporty interiors. This will include flat bottom steering wheel, classic tartan fabric and even aluminium pedals.
As this is a two door version, there won’t be much knee room for rear seat passengers. The Polo GTI will get six airbags, a touchscreen system with maps, reverse parking camera, climate control and completely black set of interiors. The leather wrapped steering wheel will even get red stitches all across. The front seats are highly supportive and this adds a lot more comfort and support for the drivers. The rear drivers, well do not offer too much space and is ideal for kids only. The boot space of the Polo GTI is the same as the Polo.

Volkswagen Polo GTI Engine
Volkswagen Polo GTI will be coming with 1.8-litre TSI engine that will be producing 189bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. This will be coming with a seven-speed DSG and it will return about 8km/l. This hot hatchback can do a 0-100km/hr in 7.2 seconds and it will have a top speed of 233km/hr. The GTI will have a different suspension set-up when compared to the regular Polo. There will be two modes as well, comfort and sport to adjust according to your driving needs. If you think that the GT TSI offers less power, than you should lookout for the Polo GTI. This will be the fastest hatchback in India. It offers more power than the Passat and even the Superb.
