2.  Hyundai Creta

Following the Brezza closely is the Hyundai Creta. The Creta though available at a higher price point as compared to most compact SUVs, sells in high numbers. There is no direct competition to the Creta. It comes wit a 1.6-litre petrol and 14-litre or 1.6-litre diesel engine options. This is a feature loaded SUV and has caught the imagination of many buyers in India.

3. Mahindra Bolero

The Mahindra Bolero has been the best selling SUV in India for many years. Lately it has come under pressure as its numbers have fallen. However, it still is the third best seller. The Bolero mainly sells in rural markets and is more of a people mover. though raw in appeal and being more basic, it has a large number of buyers as it serves a purpose and is a well regarded brand.

4. Mahindra Scorpio

The SUV to revolutionalize the segment is the Scorpio. This SUV has a huge fan following and is regarded as a tough vehicle. The new Scorpio comes in various trim levels and different engine options. The KUV100 was expected to shake up the car segment, however it failed to do so initially. This micro SUV had gained a lot of attention when it was launched.
