The Ford Ecosport 2018 has got many additions. Now it gets two new variants. These are the S and Signature Editions. They come in petrol as well as diesel versions. The Signature edition is based on the Titanium variant. The S edition is based on the Titanium + variant. The Ecosport is no one of the most accomplished SUVs, with several options available. We were the first to break the story on Ecosport getting new features in May. The Signature edition will come with a black roof and black-machined alloy wheels. It will have a bigger 9-inch touchscreen. The Ecosport will take the Honda WR-V head on, which has sunroof as a big contributor to its sales.

The EcoSport S gets a sunroof, which Ford like to call ‘Fun-roof’. The EcoSport S now gets a 1.0-litre petrol EcoBoost engine, which has a power output of 123bhp and 170Nm of torque. This comes mated to a new six-speed manual transmission. Some features are added to this variant like smoked HID headlamps with dark inserts and a blacked out fog lamp bezel. The front grille and the roof have been blacked out as well. The 17-inch alloys on the SUV get a black machined treatment. The interior has orange accents on the seats and the instrument panel to liven up the cabin. The EcoSport S gets a bigger, 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster which also features a tyre pressure monitoring system. There are six airbags on the EcoSport S along with the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen.

The biggest change is the all-new 1.5-litre Dragon engine. This is a three-cylinder engine that churns about 121bhp of power, 150Nm of torque and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. A regular automatic replaces the DCT unit. The diesel engine is unchanged.

The 1.5-litre Dragon petrol engine on the Ford Ecosport 2018 is a good new engine. This new engine is light weight as it has an aluminium block which is light in weight.
