There are many new cars that will be making their way into the Indian car market this year. Many of these have missed the Auto Expo 2018. The reasons could be multiple. One being they will not be ready for display and in some cases, the company will want to keep the vehicle under wraps. There are some cases where the company hasn’t participated at the Motor Show itself. Whatever be the reason, we are telling you about the five cars that you could be waiting for and might have missed out at the show.

Hyundai Santro 2018

This is one of the most highly anticipated and awaited launches for this year. Hyundai’s Santro will make a comeback with the new-gen Santro marking its 20th anniversary in India. Hyundai Santro has been a runaway success and this has been the root product for the company’s success in India. It seems no brainer that the new vehicle wil be called as the Santro and shall be making its way soon. This will be coming with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and shall be the first Hyundai in India to offer an AMT also. Read more on the new Santro.

Maruti Ertiga 2018

Based on the Heartect platform, the Maruti Ertiga will be another new product. Maruti didn’t showcase any of its new upcoming products and even the Ertiga missed an opportunity to be showcased. The new Ertiga is expected to be made available at the dealerships by mid 2018, closer to August. This will be longer than before and offer more space and features too. This time around, the Maruti Ertiga will offer AMT on both petrol and diesel engines. There shall also be the CNG model too. Read more on the Ertiga.

Nissan Kicks

As Nissan missed out on the Auto Expo, hence it didn’t have the new SUV on showcase. The Japanese automaker has plans to get this new vehicle in the Indian car market and it will be looking at offering it sometime soon. The Kicks will be competing with the Captur and the Creta. An all new SUV that will be made on the Duster platform too. This too will come with petrol and diesel engine options. Nissan will price it above the Terrano and even offer more features too.Read more on the Nissan Kicks.

Toyota Yaris hatch

Toyota Yaris 2018 side

Another product that will come in this year but missed the show. The Yaris sedan did make its debut but the hatchback did miss out on the show. The Yaris hatchback shall be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine churning about 80bhp of power. This engine will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission and mostly even CVT. Toyota will be coming to India with the Yaris sedan first in April and the hatchback will follow by the festive season.

Mahindra S201

The Mahindra compact SUV, or the Mahindra’s version of the Tivoli will be another new product that will come to India this year. Mahindra showcased the Rexton version SUV and even the entire fleet of electric vehicles from the brand. We have spotted the compact SUV more often on test and we are certain that the new small SUV will be making its way into product by mid 2018. Mahindra’s first premium compact SUV should be soon on its way.
