Mahindra will be showcasing a convertible SUV at the 2018 Auto Expo. As per a report from Autocar, Mahindra has built a compact convertible SUV as a concept for the Delhi Motor Show. This will be the new attraction for the brand, something what it did in 2016 Auto Expo with the XUV Aero.

The XUV Aero electric has been planned for production and the new convertible SUV could be another attraction option.

This convertible SUV hasn’t been made on the KUV platform, rather on the TUV300 platform.

It will be under 4 metres. So if it gets into production, there shall be lesser taxes attracting. It could be an interesting area to get into. This will something like the Thar we reckon, which also has a soft top. The design of this new SUV convertible will be radical, away from the TUV 300’s boxy styling. Mahindra will be plonking a 1.5-litre diesel engine in this concept. It will churn about 100bhp of power and 240Nm of maximum torque.

This will come with a five-speed manual transmission.
