According to the latest crash test result, Honda Amaze has scored just 2-star ratings for adult safety. Whereas the sedan has scored a poor 0-star safety ratings in child safety. So where does it fall behind? Well, it was the side impact collision which has resulted in poor crash test results. The body shell and footwell area of the sedan was rated stable and capable of taking further loading. But the lack of standard safety equipment restricted the four-wheeler to a 2-star rating. Currently, the Honda Amaze is equipped with 2-Airbags as the only safety feature. It misses out on side airbags, ISOFIX child mounts, and ESC.

In 2019, Honda Amaze scored a strong 4-star safety ratings for adult safety and 2-star ratings for child safety. The primary reason for poor ratings is the stricter safety norms. As we all know, Global NCAP came up with stricter safety standards in 2022 and all the cars had to push the safety to its limits for better safety scores. We can see the SUVs like the Harrier & Safari which got better equipment with facelift, resulting in best ever safety ratings for Indian cars. The new testing protocol mandates side airbags, stronger head restrain system and ESP as standard.
