The Indian model of the Swift would be more or less similar to the one launched in Japan. However, it will get some India-specific changes like different front and rear bumpers. Also, the new Swift is expected to come with an all-LED setup that consists of LED headlamps, foglamps and DRLs.  The alloy wheel design should be also similar but with some subtle changes. In the side profile, the C-pillar will come with black elements and also rear handles will be placed on the doors.

Specifications

The new Swift is expected to come with the new Z Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine that debuted on the global model. This engine is capable of producing 80 bhp and 108Nm of torque. This new engine is 8bhp less powerful and 5Nm less torque compared to the current K Series engine. Transmission options could include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. According to reports, the engine will get India-specific tweaks to improve emissions, efficiency and power output. Maruti is not expected to bring the hybrid setup to India.
