Maruti is going hard in the SUV segment with launches like the Brezza and Grand Vitara. However, it is just the beginning, and the brand has lined up a lot of new SUV launches. One of them is the eVX, which is also going to be Maruti’s first electric car. The brand is rigorously testing the car and now its interiors have been spied. Let’s talk about the new Maruti SUV.

Spy shot

In the spy shots, we get our best view of the eVX interiors till now. The interiors are very different to other Maruti cars. We can see the flat bottom steering wheel, dual-connected screen, black & brown upholstery, rotary gear selector, dash cam, electronic parking brake with auto hold, wireless charging, and proper armrest. From the overall looks of it, Maruti is trying to give the eVX a premium look.

Suzuki has showcased the eVX at Auto Expo 2023 and Tokyo Motor Show 2023. In the above spy shots, we can see the grille and headlamp getting into their final production form. The rear still misses out on functional lights on this test mule. From the overall looks of it, the eVX does look almost production-ready. 

Expected specifications

The eVX will be based on the 27PL skateboard platform developed by Toyota. Maruti is yet to reveal the specifications, but the eVX is expected to come with two powertrain options. There will be two options – a 60kWh that could deliver 450km of real-world range and second could be a 48kWh with a real-world range of around 350km to 400km. Motor-wise, we can expect single and dual motor options.

Earlier, the eVX was expected by the end of 2024, but Maruti is facing some software challenges that could delay the launch. Due to this delay, the launch is now expected by March 2025. Talking about the expected price range, the Maruti eVX could be priced between Rs 21 lakh to Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
