Interiors spotted

Upcoming Hyundai SUV

We get a slight sneak peek into the interiors of the Creta EV. Overall the dashboard is covered in camouflage, but we get a look at the new steering wheel. This is a two-spoke unit that only features on the new-gen Sonata. Hyundai’s philosophy behind this steering wheel is that it wants a minimalistic look on its new cars. Like the IONIQ-5, the Creta EV comes with a selector dial placed behind the steering wheel.

What else to expect?

The Creta EV’s overall design is expected to be very similar to the N Line version. Till now the only major change spotted has been the aerodynamic alloy wheels. Talking about the interiors, we expect the same 10.25-inch screens – one for a touchscreen and the other for a digital instrument cluster. Let’s get into the specifications part, the Creta EV is expected to come with a 45kWh battery pack with an expected real-life range of around 250-300kms. Motor specs will be similar to the Kona EV sold globally. This motor is capable of producing 135bhp and 255Nm of torque.

Upcoming Hyundai SUV – Launch & pricing

Media reports have stated that Hyundai plans to unveil the Creta EV by the end of this year. The price announcement could happen at the same time or probably in 2025. What about the pricing? We expect the Creta EV to be priced between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Once launched, it will rival products like the upcoming Tata Curvv EV, Honda Elevate EV and more.
