Upcoming Tata Curvv – Exterior

curvv

In February 2024, Tata Motors showcased a close to production model of the Curvv at 2024 Bharat Mobility Show. Tata being true to their words, the production ready Curvv looks very similar to its concept version. Upfront it gets a similar face to all the recent Tata SUVs including connected LED DRLs and vertically positioned LED headlamps. Whereas the front grille seems inspired from the Harrier facelift. The side profile is something which makes the Curvv unique from other SUVs. Unlike typical SUV design, Curvv gets a coupe-like SUV design with a floating roofline. We are expecting 18-inch alloy wheels with the same design as seen on the concept car. Also, it will be getting Land Rover-like flush door handles. At the rear, Tata Curvv has a unique appearance, thanks to the sloping roofline. We can see a twin spoiler setup along with connected LED tail lamps.

Inside, the story remains very similar as we can see resemblance to other Tata SUVs. As seen on the spy shots, Tata Curvv will get a Nexon-like two spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo. We have also spotted a 10.25-inch touchscreen system which could be a base or mid variant as the top end variant is expected to get a 12.3-inch system. Also, the Curvv will get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Finally, Tata Curvv will come equipped with touch based AC controls. Some spy shots also revealed purple themes on the seats, door pads, and dashboard, similar to the Nexon’s purple persona. That said, the entire dashboard layout is expected to be similar to the Neoxn. For the EV version however, expect a brighter interior theme.

Talking about engine specifications, Tata has announced the details only for the diesel variant. It will get Nexon’s 1.2-litre diesel engine that produces 113bhp & 260Nm of torque, mated with AMT and manual gearboxes. The details for the petrol engine is still unknown as Tata has two petrol engines to offer – 1.2-litre TGDi & 1.5-litre TGDi. Among these, we are expecting the new 1.5-litre TGDi to be offered as Tata earlier revealed that new petrol engines will be first offered on Curvv and later on the Harrier. The transmission options could include – manual, AMT and 7-speed DCA. Also, Tata Curvv could get an option for CNG in future. For EV, the Curvv will likely get a battery pack of around 50kWh and a claimed range of around 500-550kms.
