Tata Safari 6X6

Mr. Anuj Rao, the owner of Safari 6X6 owns the 2010 model Tata Safari Dicor. His model is originally a 4X2 variant and so he wanted to make things interesting. He got inspired from a video of a person who modified his Ford SUV into a 6X6 in some foreign country. To make things possible, Mr. Anuj chopped the rear of his Safari and extended it with the rear end of another Safari!

Should you get inspired?

Modifying a car to such an extent in India is completely illegal. Also, chopping down a car and merging an extended body can be very dangerous as it hampers the build quality. Adding to that, your insurance company will never accept a single claim on such a highly modified car.

Tata Safari – 4X4 Tata SUV Coming

One of the reasons Mr. Anuj and others modify their cars because of the lack of true 4WD SUVs in India. Also, Tata Motors, a brand known to build capable off-road SUVs has remained silent after the Tata Hexa which was the last Tata to offer a 4WD system. That said, Tata will soon bring the AWD with its modern SUV, the Harrier EV. Followed by that, the Safari EV and the Sierra EV are also said to come with AWD capabilities.
