As the title suggests, the Volkswagen Taigun has benefits worth Rs 1.30 lakh. It has a direct cash discount of Rs 60,000 that can be availed by everyone. Along with it, we have a Rs 40,000 exchange bonus and a further Rs 30,000 reductions as corporate discounts. These offers don’t apply to the special editions of the Taigun.

You will not miss out on anything on the discounted Taigun. It will continue with the MQB A0 IN platform that it shares with the Skoda Kushaq. The speciality of this platform is that it comes with a 5-star rating from GNCAP. Specification-wise, the Taigun comes with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol (114bhp/178Nm) and 1.5-litre turbo petrol (148bhp/250Nm). Manual transmission is available on both the engines whereas the 1.0-litre gets torque converter and the 1.5-litre gets DCT automatic transmission options. Feature-wise, it comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, automatic headlamps, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Volkswagen Taigun – Pricing

Price-wise, the Volkswagen Taigun has been priced between Rs 13.85 lakh to Rs 23.67 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, the pricing will differ according to the available offers. The German SUV competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq.
