Tata continues to make headways in the EV space. Last month, it launched the Punch EV to continue its lead in the segment. In 2024, we are going to see more EV options from Tata, like Curvv, Avinya, Harrier EV, etc. However, Tata also has plans to launch some new ICE SUVs this year. Which are they? Let’s talk about the upcoming Tata SUVs.

Curvv

Upcoming Tata SUVs

The Curvv is one of the most anticipated cars in the Indian car. To cater to a wider audience, Tata is bringing the Curvv in ICE and EV powertrains. Its EV version is expected to come by mid-2024, and its petrol/diesel version by the end of 2024. The ICE version is expected to come with three engine options – 1.2-litre turbo petrol (123bhp/225Nm), 1.5-litre turbo petrol (168bhp/280Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (113bhp/260Nm). Feature-wise, the Curvv is expected to come with things like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, 6-airbags, Harman audio system, ventilated seats and more. The petrol version of the Curvv is expected to start from Rs 12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, etc.

Upcoming Tata SUVs – Harrier/Safari

Upcoming Tata SUVs

Last year, Tata launched the much anticipated Harrier/Safari facelift. The facelifted models come with major design changes and a plethora of new features. However, one thing that was highly anticipated, but didn’t make it onto the facelift was a petrol engine option. This petrol engine is expected to debut on the Curvv and then come on the Harrier/Safari duo by the end of this year. Both SUVs are expected to come with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 168bhp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission options should include manual and automatic. Barring the engine, we don’t expect any changes in the exterior and interior. With the petrol engine option, the starting price of both SUVs could get a cut.
