The Only Car With Turbo Petrol Under Rs 10 Lakh!
Turbo petrol engines have gained popularity in recent times in India. Many auto makers try to offer at least one turbo petrol option to attract enthusiast buyers. In fact Hyundai has reserved their turbo petrol engine exclusively for the N Line variant of the i20. However, these cars are not cheap, leaving the Citroen C3 to be the only car with turbo petrol engine under Rs 10 lakh.

Car with turbo petrol under Rs 10 lakh – Citroen C3
Citroen, the French automaker debuted in India with the C5 Aircross SUV. Soon, they brought the C3 hatchback to take on the likes of Tata Punch. With C3, Citroen also introduced their 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine which is priced under Rs 10 lakh. Talking about the engine, it’s 1.0-litre unit which produces 109bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. However, it comes with a sole 6-speed manual transmission only.

Talking about the variant and pricing, it is the Feel Dual Tone variant which is priced at Rs 9.86 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Now we do have other cars like Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 with turbo engines under Rs 10 lakh. However, only base variants are available under Rs 10 lakh and so we are not including those cars in this segment.
Rest, the Citroen C3 comes with a decent amount of features. It gets – ABS, ESP, traction control, 2 airbags, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, height adjustable driver seat, and all four power windows. However, the hatchback clearly lacks in terms of equipment when compared to other cars like the Tata Punch.
Citroen C3X
Talking about the future plans, Citroen is preparing an SUV version of the C3 Aircross, which is the 7-seater version of the C3. The upcoming C3X however will boast a coupe like design which could be similar to the upcoming Tata Curvv. In terms of pricing the C3X could undercut the Tata Curvv. Now although Citroen will try to offer a list of features in the C3X, it will be interesting to see if it comes with enough features like the Curvv or Hyundai Creta.
