Another MotorOctane Exclusive. The new-generation Peugeot 301 is likely to make its way into India as the French automaker is looking to re-enter the Indian car market for a while. Peugeot has plans to introduce a hatchback and a sedan in the Indian car market.

The 301 is a 4440mm long sedan that will be competing with the Honda City and will be launched in petrol and diesel avatars.

Peugeot will be launching the next-generation or the facelift of the current sold 301. This new sedan was launched in 2012 and is due for an update.

 The Peugeot 301 is based on the PSA PF1 platform, which is also shared with the 208.

We were the ones who had spotted with 208 hatchback in India. Peugeot had even tested a hatchback and a luxury sedan in 2012, however it pulled back as it wanted to focus on European markets. Now, the French brand has its eyes on the Indian car market, especially with its French competitor Renault tasting success twice.
