New Maruti Swift

We get to see the new Swift in white colour. The smoked-out LED headlight and grille look good in the white colour. The new bonnet is the noticeable change on the new Swift. It gets an SUV-like clamshell bonnet with an evident new horizontal shut line. The side profile gets a major change as the rear door handles are now mounted on the door instead of the C Pillar. At the rear, we have new LED tail lamps with redesigned bumpers and a new rear spoiler.

New Maruti Swift – Interior

New Maruti Swift

The new Swift gets a familiar dashboard design as it is similar to the Baleno and Fronx. We have a floating infotainment system and redesigned AC vents. The AC control panel also appears to be new, and while the steering wheel is the same, the graphics for the instrument cluster look all new. In terms of features, the Japanese model comes with improved connected car tech, wireless charging, 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera and a head-up display.

Specifications

New Maruti Swift

The new Swift is going to come with a new 3-cylinder Z12E unit replacing the 4-cylinder K12 engine. This new engine is capable of producing 80 bhp and 108Nm of torque. Even though the figures are less than the outgoing engine, Suzuki is claiming that this new engine will have a major improvement in terms of efficiency and torque. There is also a mild hybrid option that adds around 3bhp and 60Nm torque with its DC motor. It remains to be seen if Maruti brings the mild-hybrid setup to India.
