Hyundai is a brand that has enjoyed a good run in the Indian market. The biggest reason has been its feature-loaded cars at a competitive price. Now, the brand has shifted its focus on safety too, which is a welcome move. Hyundai also has plans to launch several new cars in the upcoming months. In today’s article, let’s talk about 5 upcoming Hyundai cars in 2023-24.

Verna N-Line

Earlier this year, Hyundai launched the new Verna in India. The Verna has a lot going for it, from performance to safety, it has almost everything covered. Still, Hyundai has another trick up its sleeve which is a Verna N-Line. In the Verna N-Line, we could see exterior changes like a new front grille, bumpers & red inserts, N-Line badging, etc. What about the interiors? We could get the N Line-specific steering and gear lever. The turbo variant already comes with red highlights, so Hyundai will have to do something different. Feature-wise, Hyundai could give it a dash camera and some more add-ons. Spec-wise, it should come with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol (157bhp/253Nm) engine paired with a manual and an automatic gearbox. The Verna N-Line is expected to be launched by the end of 2023 or sometime in 2024. Pricing-wise, it could be around 1 lakh more expensive than normal Verna.

Upcoming Hyundai cars – Creta facelift

The next big launch for Hyundai has to be the Creta facelift. Hyundai is working on an all-new model and it is going to be different from the Indonesian spec. It is going to get a palisade-inspired front design with a big front grille and DRLs connected to the grille. We already see this design on the Venue. Other exterior changes could include new H-shaped tail lamps, new alloy wheels and new front & rear bumpers.

In the interior, we could see a tweaked dashboard with a floating infotainment system. We could also see new upholstery and colours. New features could include a 360-degree camera, multi-colour ambient lighting, a heads-up display, and digital instrument cluster, etc. The Creta facelift is also expected to get the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Other engine options could include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The new Creta is expected to be launched by March 2024, and we can expect a price hike of Rs 70k to 80k depending upon the variants.

Creta N-Line

Hyundai is going to expand its N-Line lineup further. There are rumours that the brand is working on a Creta N-Line option to launch alongside the Creta facelift. It would get the above-mentioned design things with some subtle changes. On the N-Line, we could see an N-Line-specific grille, red accents, new front & rear bumpers and N-Line-specific alloy wheels. In the interiors, we could see all-black interiors with red inserts. Then, we will also have an N Line-specific gear lever and steering wheel. Specs-wise, it should only come with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol paired with a manual and DCT gearbox. Other mechanical changes could include sportier suspension, louder exhaust and better handling dynamics. The Creta N-Line is expected to be launched alongside the Creta facelift.

Alcazar facelift

With the Creta getting a facelift, how could Alcazar remain behind? Recently, the test mule of the Alcazar facelift was spotted testing. Though the test mule was heavily camouflaged, we can expect some major revisions. The spotted car had new tail lamps and bumper. At the front, we could see a Palisade-like design expected in the new Creta. In the interiors, we could see a new dashboard layout with a floating infotainment system and new upholstery. Other changes could include a heads-up display, memory function, etc. Like the Creta, the Alcazar could get ADAS in this update. Specs-wise, it should continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. What about the launch? The Alcazar facelift is expected to be launched in the first half of 2024. Pricing-wise, we can expect a price hike of Rs 60k to 70k depending upon the variants.

Upcoming Hyundai cars – Exter EV

The Exter has started on the right note in the Indian market with over 75k bookings. Hyundai wants to drive this advantage further with an electric version of the Exter. A probable test mule of the Exter EV was spotted just after the launch of the ICE Exter. In South Korea, Hyundai is working on the Casper EV & we can expect similar specifications on the Exter EV. We could see a 40kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 300km to 350km. Hyundai would be keeping a close eye on the upcoming Punch EV and outdo Tata in this aspect. There is no official confirmation from Hyundai regarding the Exter EV, but we can expect it in the next two years.
