The Creta continues to be one of the best-selling models in the country. Even with facelift rumours, people are still flocking to buy it. Nevertheless, Hyundai has confirmed some new details of the upcoming Creta facelift. These details were confirmed in our interview with Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai India. So what is this feature? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Hyundai Creta.

New details

In our interview with Tarun Grag, COO, Hyundai India, we discussed the new Verna’s 5-star crash test rating and Hyundai’s push for safety. Then we asked about the possibility of ADAS on the upcoming Creta. He stated that going forward Hyundai will launch 1 to 2 ADAS-enabled cars each year. He didn’t outrightly state that the Creta will get ADAS, but the Creta and Alcazar seem to be the most probable candidates. ADAS could help increase the safety quotient on the new Creta. Overall, we hope that the Creta also scores well in the crash test rating like the new Verna.

2024 Hyundai Creta – New design

2024 Hyundai Creta

The Creta facelift coming to India is going to be different from international models. From the spy shots, it seems to be getting a Palisade-like design. We can see a new grille, headlamps and front bumper. The side profile is more or less similar, but there are new alloy wheels. At the rear, we could see H-shaped tail lamps like Exter. Being a facelift, we don’t expect any change in the dimensions. In the interiors, we could see a new dashboard layout with probably a floating infotainment system. We can expect a new upholstery colour and slightly tweaked HVAC controls. Other new features could include a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, multi-coloured ambient lighting and digital instrument cluster.

Expected specifications

Though not fully confirmed by Hyundai COO, the Creta facelift is surely expected to come with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 157bhp and 253Nm of torque. Transmission options should include a manual and a DCT gearbox. The facelift will continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options will include manual and automatic options. We don’t expect any tweaks on other mechanical aspects, that will be done on the N-Line Creta facelift
