2024 Honda Amaze – What new things to expect? 

Honda is finally taking the Indian market seriously from the looks of it. After years of waiting, it has finally launched a proper SUV in India i.e. Elevate. Honda will be hoping that the Elevate does well for the brand and helps it re-establish itself in India. Another key product for Honda in India is the Amaze. To that effect, it is working on its new-generation model. Honda plans to unveil this new generation Amaze with a slew of upgrades next year. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Honda Amaze. 

New design

The new Honda Amaze will be based on the updated PF2 platform that also underpins the Elevate. However, the Amaze being a compact sedan its length would measure less than 4 metres. Coming to the design, being a new generation we can expect a completely new design. Over the years, Honda has made the design of Amaze sharper, and we can expect a continuation of this trend in the new Amaze. We could see a new grille, headlamps and fenders. The side profile will also get a major revamp with new side skirts, wheel arches, alloy wheels etc. At the rear, we could see new tail lamps and a new rear bumper. 

2024 Honda Amaze – Expected specifications

The 2024 Honda Amaze will continue with the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Sadly, this could be the only engine on offer, as Honda had to discontinue its diesel engines due to the BS6 stage 2 norms. It also doesn’t seem keen on bringing turbo petrol engines to India. One new thing Honda could offer is factory-fitted CNG, still, that seems to be a far-fetched idea. 

More features?

Honda knows that features have become an important selling point in India. Like the Elevate, Honda will give it some necessary features over some fancy ones. We could see a new floating infotainment system and an updated dashboard layout. Other added features could include a premium sound system, automatic AC, powered mirrors, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, etc. Honda could also give it an electric sunroof, which will be a segment first. ADAS is quickly becoming a norm, and we could expect it even on the new Amaze. 

2024 Honda Amaze – Launch and pricing

According to reports, Honda plans to launch the new Honda Amaze in the second half of 2024. After its launch, it will continue rivalling the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Aura. The Dzire is also expected to soon get a major update, and it will be interesting how both the cars compete against each other. Pricing-wise, we can expect a major hike of around Rs 1 lakh to 1.2 lakh considering it’s a completely new model with a new design & features. The pricing of the new Amaze could start from Rs 10 lakh and go to Rs 14 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
